The Okte students in Mr. Sawyer’s class did a fantastic job creating cave paintings inspired by those found in Lascaux, France while in art class with Mrs. Braglia. They even painted underneath the tables to make it feel like they were in a real cave!

4th grade classes had their annual "Fire Prevention Poster Contest". The lucky winners (one from each of the 4th grade classes) got picked up at their homes and driven to school on a fire engine. In conjunction with National Bullying Prevention Month and Okte's own Olweus anti-bullying program, all students and staff participated in putting their "hands up" against bullying. Each child and adult had their hand painted and then placed along the inside brick walls of the first floor, showing their pledge to end bullying.[MOREMore Photos]
