Okte 5th graders became experts on 5 different books to compete in the Battle of the Books! The Book Beasts, consisting of Jake Kochanskyj, Aliza Dil, Kelly Westervilt, Spencer Timmis, and Lizzie Avila were Okte’s winners and will go on to compete at the district level against other school teams in late March! Congrats to all who participated!

Okte's Annual Monster Mash was the place to be on Friday! Children were given a passport to collect stamps through fun activities such as decorating a cookie or creating a pumpkin out of a plate. After collecting all of the stamps, a walk through the "hallway of horror" to the trick or treat trail resulted in a goody bag (complete with a toothbrush) to wind down the fun evening!
