Announcements:.
The Daily Five: The students continue to "Read to Self" and "Work on Writing" and build their stamina. PLEASE help your child remember to have their GFB Log signed every night. Unfortunately, some students received an MAS Slip for not having the log signed. We have started our book clubs. The kids are loving it!! Each group meets once a week to discuss what they've read, observations, connections, and responses.
Grammar: We have statred a new unit on Figurative Language.
Spelling: The words are VCCV words
Math: This week the students will learn about Greatest Common Factorsand Prime and Composite Numbers. PLEASE continue to practice math facts with your child EVERY night.
Social Studies: We will begin our study of Canada.
Science: Mrs. Potter's Class: Welcome!! The first quiz is Monday. It will be on all notes we took last week (very easy) :) This week we will focus our discussion on the electromagnetic spectrum.
