PTA Membership

Join PTA today! Chango PTA sponsors Arts in Education programs (performing, literary and visual arts fieldtrips and speakers for our classrooms), family fun nights, movie nights, dances and other "community building" events. We also assist with field days, various school sponsored events, hold after school activities, do fundraising and much more. Membership is one of the ways you can show your support of these programs.

By choosing to join PTA, you are showing that you support a parent-school partnership. We hope to achieve enough memberships to show support for every child in our school. In order to provide insurance and support, $3.50 of each membership is sent to the National PTA. The remaining $1.50 helps our PTA provide school directories, other membership benefits and helps to fund supplies, activities and scholarships.

Membership in the PTA does not mean you are signing up to volunteer for activities. Volunteering is completely optional and another great way you can show your support for the programs we offer. For volunteer info, please see Events/Activities.

To become a member, please submit a check for $5.00 to Chango PTA along with the Membership Directory form found on our site. With this form you will be added to our mailing list and will have the option to choose the electronic or paper delivery options

Dear Parents,

Thank you to all that attended our September PTA meeting! There was a nice turnout and a lot of good information was shared. Thank you too to Janet Grey, Chango School Board Representative for sharing district information with us. We hope to see all of you and more at our next meeting, October 27th at 7pm.

This month we are looking forward to the Monster Mash, Friday October 24th at 6:30pm at school. It will be a fun event for your family to enjoy. There will be dancing, food and games. Please no unattended children, masks, super scary costumes or weaponry. Further details will be coming out soon.

Coming up November 4th will be our important Election Day Bake Sale fundraiser. It has been very successful in the past, especially during presidential elections so we are ramping it up this year to take full advantage of the opportunity to raise the most money we can. It's a great fundraiser because not only do our parents often contribute so do many of our community members. To make the most of it we will really need a lot of bakers this year and a good amount of volunteers to staff the tables. We will be selling baked goods, coffee, water and sandwiches during the lunch hours. We will also be inviting the community to join PTA to show their support for our school. Parent/Teacher Conferences and the Scholastic Book Sale (also sponsored by PTA) will be held that day. It will be a busy day at Chango!
