Books & Bears To Alabama

Now, through the end of the school year, Tesago will be collecting Bears & Books for a school in Tuscaloosa, Alabama that was ravaged by a tornado in April.. The Tesago community is going to be collecting gently used Children's Books, *like-new* stuffed animals (clean please), and monetary donations (for shipping costs) until the end of the school year. There will be collection boxes for the stuffed animals and children's books in the TESAGO LOBBY.  There will be a collection box for shipping expenses in the school office.  We are partnering with a school in Tuscaloosa, Alabama which was destroyed in the recent tornado outbreak in the south. The school will be replenishing their school library and classroom libraries with our donations of GENTLY USED children's books. The school will be putting together care packages for the students in the school with our donations of stuffed animals.

Thank you Tesago, for coming together one last time this academic year, to make a difference. Together, we can restore hope amongst the destruction in Alabama.

Join us for our annual PARP (Parents As Reading Partners) program – it’s easy! Your challenge is to read every day as a family for at least 15 minutes. Read the newspaper, magazines, books of any kind…why not listen to an audio book together? PARP lasts from January through March; your challenge is to read every single day in that three month period. More information (including specifics about our special programs: K-2 Story Night, Battle of the Books and Family Library Night) will be available on our Online Bulletin Board and Library Media Center webpage in mid-December. Look for more updates to come through SIS messenger as well.

More details to follow!

The Tesago PTA invites you to participate in this

years National Reflections program.

THEME "Together We Can"

The Reflections Program provides students with the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition. Reflections can also serve as an outlet for students to creatively explore what they are learning in the classroom. When children express themselves through words, pictures, music, dance, film, and other art media, they grow intellectually; they learn to analyze their thoughts and feelings. The Reflections Program helps parents encourage the creativity, self-discovery, and lifelong learning of their children. Supporting the PTA Reflections Program is one way you can increase student achievement, foster student talents, and promote the arts.
