A. Thank you for submitting the questions related to the importance of musical theater and drama at Shenendehowa. There is currently no credit bearing option offered in theater which means any opportunity that is offered is considered extra-curricular. We may look to add theater courses to the HS Program of Studies in the future and if so, would follow the district’s process associated with program review and expansion. Theater Clubs are partially self-funded through ticket sales, therefore, funds really haven’t been cut to any club. In addition, the district pays for facility expenses, staff, and operational expenses in order to allow all Shen activities to operate safely.
