A: Teachers may use social media as an instructional tool or a part of a lesson. Due care must be taken to avoid any violation of confidentiality, and clearly must not be inappropriate. As a professional practice, teachers should not be on social media during instructional time otherwise. If there is a specific concern that should be brought to the attention of a building administrator.
