- Koda Team 6-1 students enjoying a Mythology Wax Museum.
- Four 8th grade students from each of the three middle schools were recognized for their leadership at the School Administrators Association of NYS (SAANYS) Region 6 Student Leadership Breakfast at The Vistas at VanPatten Golf Course in Clinton Park.

- Congratulations to the 8th grade Latin students who won an award for placing on the National Latin Exam. The National Latin Exam is a short test that is given annually to Latin students around the world. Thirty seven 8th grade Latin students won awards based on their scores on the test.
- Koda 8th grader, Ava Guilmette, won 1st place (her sixth national title) and is the Women’s U15 National Wrestling Champion! Ava will represent USA at the Pan-Am Championships in El Salvador in June!
- 8th grade tech students from Gowana and Koda were treated to a presentation by Tori Rodriguez, a local welder, sculptor from the Albany area.
- The middle school FLL Robot Rumble was held at HSW. Six of our middle school teams competed in robot performance and FRC Crescendo field models. The results for robot performance include File Not Found placing 1st, Data Deleted 2nd, and the CaptiBytes 3rd.
- Tri-building Middle School students in Mrs. Clermont’s Accelerated Art Class design and create a dragon head for display in the Gowana Library.

Welcome to Koda Middle School
Koda is the newest of three middle schools located on the main campus. It opened in 1999. The three middle schools buildings are attached and share core areas such as gym, libraries, etc., however, they function as separate schools.
Mission:
The mission of Koda Middle School is to create an environment where students meet or exceed all academic standards and evolve into responsible, respectful, and caring young adults. Such an environment is created through cooperative efforts of staff that:
- Build partnerships with students and parents.
- Model respect and responsibility
- Instill a love of learning in students.
Start & Dismissal Times:
School starts at 8:55 a.m.
School is dismissed at 3:30 p.m.
Half day dismissal at 12:17 p.m.
