- The FLL Robotics Qualifier went great! Both of Shen’s middle school teams were recognized for special awards AND qualified to advance to the Championship tournament at RPI.

- Acadia monitor Amy Farrigan MADE this gorgeous Chess/Checkers table and generously gifted it to the Acadia Library! Students are already enjoying it!
- In Randy Symonds Middle School Technology class students were learning about the “center of mass,” and had a hands on experience while learning.
- Students in Ms. St. John’s 6th grade social studies classes analyzed Paleolithic cave art and created their own prehistoric drawings. They worked as anthropologists to create a story about each drawing.
- After completing a unit on the characteristics of different genres and how to identify them, students in Mrs. Potter’s Grade 6-2 Reading classes participated in a “Starbooks” Book Tasting. Students moved from station to station to “taste”, “sip”, and “read” from several different genres.

Welcome to Acadia Middle School
Acadia is one of three middle schools located on the main campus. It opened in 1953. The three middle schools buildings are attached and share core areas such as gym, libraries, etc., however, they function as separate schools.
Mission:
It is Acadia’s mission to promote mutual respect, to foster an environment which supports and maintains a sense of belonging demonstrated by caring for self and others, to cultivate positive interactions and cooperation among staff, students and parents, to provide a comfortable transition between elementary and middle school years, to motivate all students to reach their learning potential and to operate in accordance with our Code of Conduct. Furthermore, we believe that this kind of environment promotes growth, maturity, success and positive attitudes for everyone involved in our school.
