- Acadia’s Mentor Program took part in a Mini-Golf outing
- Four 8th grade students from each of the three middle schools were recognized for their leadership at the School Administrators Association of NYS (SAANYS) Region 6 Student Leadership Breakfast at The Vistas at VanPatten Golf Course in Clinton Park.

- Congratulations to the 8th grade Latin students who won an award for placing on the National Latin Exam. The National Latin Exam is a short test that is given annually to Latin students around the world. Thirty seven 8th grade Latin students won awards based on their scores on the test.
- The middle school FLL Robot Rumble was held at HSW. Six of our middle school teams competed in robot performance and FRC Crescendo field models. The results for robot performance include File Not Found placing 1st, Data Deleted 2nd, and the CaptiBytes 3rd.
- Tri-building Middle School students in Mrs. Clermont’s Accelerated Art Class design and create a dragon head for display in the Gowana Library.
- Award winning author, Steve Sheinkin visited the Middle Schools
- Athletes and Coaches from the Special Olympics Bronze Medal FloorBall team visited our Middle School Unified PE class.
- Will it fit? Rock Travis’ grade 8, tri-building DDE class helped out with Nicole Saville’s and Tara Fear’s Future Ready Furniture Grant. The students were given room and furniture dimensions and used Autodesk Fusion 360, Google Docs and the laser engraver to create “to scale models” of the classrooms.

Welcome to Acadia Middle School
Acadia is one of three middle schools located on the main campus. It opened in 1953. The three middle schools buildings are attached and share core areas such as gym, libraries, etc., however, they function as separate schools.
Mission:
It is Acadia’s mission to promote mutual respect, to foster an environment which supports and maintains a sense of belonging demonstrated by caring for self and others, to cultivate positive interactions and cooperation among staff, students and parents, to provide a comfortable transition between elementary and middle school years, to motivate all students to reach their learning potential and to operate in accordance with our Code of Conduct. Furthermore, we believe that this kind of environment promotes growth, maturity, success and positive attitudes for everyone involved in our school.
