Arongen Elementary
- Mrs. Rupert and Tessie are twinning by wearing their favorite sports team for Arongen’s Spirit Day.
- Students in Mrs. Symonds’ 1st Grade Class at Arongen Elementary learned about fire safety from our local fire department.
- Students are thrilled to return to the Arongen Library and discover brand-new furniture, transforming the space into a flexible and inviting environment. This exciting update was made possible thanks to the Future Ready Grant, creating a more engaging and memorable library experience for everyone.
- The Arongen Kindness Club consisting of 4th and 5th graders cheered on the 3rd graders during school arrival for their first ever NYS Test!
- Arongen Elementary recently celebrated their third annual Cultural Awareness Celebration. The Arongen Student Council plans, promotes, and organizes the materials to encourage all classrooms to participate in celebrating their diverse student body.
- The Arongen Kindness and Compassion Club collected over 7,000 snacks during their “100 Day of School Snack Challenge”. These snacks will go to the Arongen Backpack program!
- Every Friday, Arongen celebratea Arongen Pride with different themed days. Mrs. Bernard’s students used an 80s theme!
- Arongen had magician Jim Snack as a celebration to mark the end of our PTA Partners in Reading program called “Unlock the Magic of Reading.”
- Okte and Chango students visited Arongen to visit with “Bad Kitty” author and Illustrator, Nick Bruel. Thanks to Northshire Books and the Shen Librarians for setting up the special visit.
- 5th Graders from Arongen were featured in the Fall 2023 edition of Skribblers Magazine.

Located in the central part of the district, Arongen Elementary School is one of four off-campus schools.
It opened in 1992.

School starts at 8:05 a.m.
AM Kindergarten dismissed at 10:40 a.m.
PM Kindergarten starts at 11:40 a.m.
School is dismissed at 2:15 p.m.
Half day dismissal at 11:15 a.m.
