The Shen Transportation safety team went to Skano with Buster the Bus to chat about school bus safety!
Karigon Dad Chief Greenberg, teaches Mrs. Lagowski’s first graders at Karigon about riding in an ambulance, who to call in an emergency and what to expect when help arrives.
Students in Ms. St. John’s 6th grade social studies classes analyzed Paleolithic cave art and created their own prehistoric drawings. They worked as anthropologists to create a story about each drawing.
Karigon Y-Time students used their creativity to make this beautiful handprint wreath for Principal Jones.
After completing a unit on the characteristics of different genres and how to identify them, students in Mrs. Potter’s Grade 6-2 Reading classes participated in a “Starbooks” Book Tasting. Students moved from station to station to “taste”, “sip”, and “read” from several different genres.
Mrs. Shutts and Mrs. Leuzinger’s ISD classes had a great time exploring the Vischer Ferry Fire Department truck during their visit to Okte. Firefighters from Clifton Park, Halfmoon, Jonesville, Vischer Ferry, and West Crescent Volunteer Fire Companies ca me to Okte during National Fire Prevention Week and taught important lessons on fire prevention and safety!
Girls Varsity Volleyball captures their 5th consecutive Tournament Championship as they defeated John Jay in the Millbrook Tournament. This is the first time in Program History for a team to win all 5 Tournaments in one season!

Skano students invited their teachers to attend Adirondack Tae Kwon Do’s anti-bullying night. At the end of the night, all teachers successfully broke boards.
