Students at HSE had unique, cultural experience by attending a performance by Saakumu Dance Troupe! Based out of Medie, Ghana, the troupe is dedicated to introducing audiences to traditional and contemporary West African dance and music. IMG_3063
Mr. Symonds 8th grade classes visited the house construction class at HSE to see the progress. They are currently completing a Trades in Construction unit and were measuring for square footage averages.
Chango’s student body recently raised an incredible $11,500 for Ronald McDonald House Charities by participating in a readathon.
Arongen had magician Jim Snack as a celebration to mark the end of our PTA Partners in Reading program called “Unlock the Magic of Reading.”
The Shen High School Art Club has been working on a fundraiser for the Saratoga County Animal shelter called the “Poorly Drawn Pet Portraits Project”. The members of Karigon Crush (Ben, Max, Santino & Dante) entertained the 3rd graders during lunch with their rendition of “Seven Nation Army” by the White Stripes. They put so much practice into this performance and it was incredible!

Ms St John’s students used VR headsets to see what life was like in ancient Egypt. They viewed the Valley of the Kings, pyramids of Giza, Hatshepsut’s temples , the Nile River and more!
Our Girls Varsity Nordic Team won their second consecutive Section 2 Title. Raquelle Landa won her second consecutive Section 2 Girls Nordic Skiing Individual Championship.
Okte and Chango students visited Arongen to visit with “Bad Kitty” author and Illustrator, Nick Bruel. Thanks to Northshire Books and the Shen Librarians for setting up the special visit.
