Shatekon celebrates Veterans Day!
Karigon held its first Best Buddies event of the 2023-24 school year. Our students had a ball spending time together doing crafts, dancing, reading and visiting Marshall the therapy dog.
Students in Ms. Delaney’s fourth grade class and Mrs. Deguire’s second grade class learn about the celebrations during Diwali from Mr. and Mrs. Jhaveri.
Arongen 1st Graders took a Field Trip to Via Aquarium!
Gowana students in Mrs. de la Rocha’s 6th grade English classes made unique poetry using a daily word play challenge created by the website Poem Renovation!
The Class of 2027 organized a “Stuff the Turkey” Thanksgiving food drive at HS West. Parents, students, and faculty contributed to the drive. Six Thanksgiving baskets with a $50 gift card to purchase a turkey will be donated to CAPTAIN Community Services. Great job HS West!
Students from College in the HS Spanish class with Mrs. Clarkin learn about El Flamenco: history, styles, and influences in other contemporary musical styles.
Karigon Elementary enjoyed the acrobatics of Li Liu for our most recent “Together We Can Do It!” assembly. Ms. Liu taught some of our students how to spin plates and perform a traditional Chinese ribbon dance. We loved watching the performance and sharing this amazing experience with the school.
Karigon celebrated Veterans Day by inviting student’s Veterans to a small ceremony. Arriving students were able to connect with Vets and their families as they entered the building. Many classrooms created posters and artwork to decorate our lobby to show our appreciation, and we all enjoyed a special video from some of our students.
