Is there a time limit on how long you can visit at the high school?
A. No, however, it must be reasonable and not excessive.
I’m wondering why not all questions are answered in posts. There might be multiple questions asked in one comment, but only one might be answered extensively, and the others ignored. Why is this?
A. Perhaps it is just due to rushing to post the hundreds of questions we get. If you have multiple questions, you are better off making a phone call.
how does someone sign up for sports?
A. You tryout. Check the athletic website for tryout dates.
Did they seriously add recess to middle school??????
A. When weather permits, students are allowed to go outside during the remaining time of their lunch period.
I am sure you are bombarded with traffic concerns, but I was just wondering if Shen HS was going to get anymore traffic men. Coming out from the circle after morning drop off and making a left onto the main campus road can be so dangerous, as well as leaving the main parking lot and making a left again after school . So many near miss accidents every single day, morning and afternoon. I know the aim was to make it better, but it is so much worse. Every outlet in the am and pm needs a traffic person.
A. There are no plans to do so. People need to take their time and obey traffic laws.
My high school child has been skipping gym class. I have spoken to her, but she continues to rebel. What is the school policy regarding skipping? I feel that she needs to be reprimanded at school as well as at home. Looking for help.
A. You should talk to your principal. Not attending physical education could result in your child not graduating.
Are teachers suppose to have their doors propped open during class?
A. No, doors are supposed to be closed and locked at all times.
Are kids fined for driving without a parking pass?
A. No, but they are subject to towing which would be costly.
My child is a senior. She is telling me that there are days called ‘senior skip days’. Can you explain what this is? Are they really allowed to skip school with no repercussions?
A. No such days are permitted by the school. Any day a student misses that is not legally excused is considered an unexcused absence.
