National safe driving advocates from Hang Up and Drive, Jacy Good and Steve Johnson, spoke to High School West students about distracted driving — sharing their story about how their lives were forever changed because of a distracted driver.

5/6/22 – Has a final decision been made regarding free meals continuing for students? – Community member

A. No, a final decision has not been made on free meals continuing for the 22/23 school year. Communication will be sent out over the summer as to the final decision.

5/6/22 – Can you please send ONE email to families stating that buses will be running late for the remainder of the year, instead of an email and a text every morning and every afternoon? – Parent

A. The Transportation Department will continue this practice for the remainder of the school year as it not only informs the community with up-to-date information, it helps tremendously limit the very high call volume the department receives if frequent communications are not sent out.

5/6/22 – Is there school on Friday, May 27th? – Student

A. Correct, there will be no school (treated like a Snow Day) on Friday, May 27.
