Middle School, CaptiBytes, wins 1st place in innovation and 2nd place in Robot Performance!
In February, one of our middle school teams, the CaptiBytes, was recognized for the following at the Hudson Valley Championship FLL Tournament: 1st place in Innovation, 2nd place in Robot Performance, and was selected to advance to another competition in May of this year. This team represents students from all three of our middle schools.
Shen’s Unified Sports program will be hosting a district wide Faculty/Staff Basketball Tournament on March 16th from 5-8:30 p.m. in the High School East Main Gym.
Come out and watch your favorite teacher/school and support a great cause. Our high school Unified athletes and partners will be running the event. All proceeds will benefit our Unified Sports programs and teams! There will be a concession stand, 50/50 raffle, and other giveaways!

2/24/23 – Q: Is it within district policy for Skano to have events where adult attendance is not overseen by the main office and the main entrance? For example, I recently attended their Valentine’s Day Kindergarten event. Parents signed-in and sign-out using the “honor system” and used a side door. I was told by a fellow parent that is standard policy there. They use the “honor system” or support staff, never the main office and never the main entrance. It seems as though it would go against safety regulations. Wouldn’t you want to closely monitor who is coming and going in your school building?
