In the original calendar for 2020-2021, Monday June 21 was a holiday for the observance of Juneteenth. In the revised calendar, it is not. According to NYSED’s website, June 18th is the day for observance (i.e. no Regents exams given that day.) Can you please clarify which day Shenendehowa students will be off in observance of Juneteenth?
A. Technically, the law does not go into effect until June 2022. Q: Who is entitled to have support from a classroom aide at the elementary level? I have concerns and feel this needs to be addressed by the district moving forward. We all work under the same STA contract.
A. While this is a personnel issue, it does not address a specific person. The individual who wrote the correspondence should contact the Asst. Supt. of Human Resources to provide specifics for their concerns.
