A. No. English and social studies honors are scheduled separately. Students do not need to have taken English 8 Honors to take Global History & Geography 9 Honors – but students’ reading and writing skills are taken into consideration when teachers make their recommendations for Global History 9 Honors. The stronger your reading and writing skills are, the more successful you will be in Global 9 Honors. Global 9 Honors is a challenging course.
