Food and Mood – A wellness retreat for healthful living
Curious about how food and lifestyle choices influence your mood and the wellbeing of your family? Are you seeking alternative ways to balance mood and gain better mental clarity? Do you want to help your family heal from mental and physical challenges? If you are curious about how food and diet can affect your mental health and seek to make actionable changes in your family’s lifestyle, this full day retreat may be right for you!
Saratoga Center for the Family is hosting two full-day wellness retreats at the beautiful Schodack Valley Farm. Join a small group of peers invested in learning, growing and implementing changes in relationship to food, mood and holistic wellness. Licensed mental health professionals will be supporting you on learning and strategizing ways to support your family’s mental wellness.
This one-day, free of cost retreat will include education from licensed mental health professionals about specific foods/minerals that affect our mood and mental health, learning and making a delicious healthful lunch, mindfulness and meditation exercises, goal-setting, and touring the farm. There will be a follow up meeting at the end of the summer for more support and connection, and evaluate personal progress and changes.
Groups will be held on July 6th or July 7th and participants will join one of those days. The retreat will last from 9am-4pm at the beautiful Schodack Valley Farm at 1587 Schodack Valley Rd. Castleton NY 12033.
If you are interested in joining this group, please contact Megan Heeder at (802) 242-1324 or email meganhm@saratogacff.org to register by June 15th 2022 and indicate your interest in either July 6th or 7th. Free of cost.
