The Special Olympics invited our Middle School Unified PE students to participate in an activity of reaching out to people that they were thankful for in the area of inclusion.
The Special Olympics invited our Middle School Unified PE students to participate in an activity of reaching out to people that they were thankful for in the area of inclusion. Once our students identified those adults in the buildings that helped make inclusion possible for them, they wrote thank you cards, and then delivered them.
The FLL Robotics Qualifier went great! Both of Shen’s middle school teams were recognized for special awards AND qualified to advance to the Championship tournament at RPI.

The CaptiBytes team took first place in Robot Design and the Execute File.Win team took the top prize as the tournament champion !

After completing a unit on the characteristics of different genres and how to identify them, students in Mrs. Potter’s Grade 6-2 Reading classes participated in a “Starbooks” Book Tasting. Students moved from station to station to “taste”, “sip”, and “read” from several different genres.

Mr. Symond’s classes observed Mr. Verhagen’s construction classes and got to tour the new home the class is building. From here, Mr. Symond’s class will be constructing a scale model house just like the one at the High School. The students are having a blast!
