Have you considered livestream for the graduation? It would be nice for grandparents etc who cannot attend.

A. As with everything, it comes down to cost. However, it is explored each year.

Do parents and relatives have to buy tickets for graduation at SPAC? And if so, where are they found?

If a student has below a 65% overall average for the school year will they be held back?

A.  It depends how many credit the student earns.  Typically students should have earned at least 11 credits by end of grade 10 to be considered a junior next year.

Is there a fee for A Shen student to attend summer school?

What happens if you fail two quarters of a class but have a passing final average?

A. Then you pass the course.

For AP World History students, does the Regents count as part of the final grade, or is the AP exam calculated in?

A.  For AP World History and AP US History, the final course grade is based on averaging only the grades from the four quarters.   Regents exams are important and students should do their best on them whether or not their scores are averaged into their course grade.

How many classes do you have to fail in order to go to summer school? Also is it optional to go to summer school?

A.  Summer school is optional.  There is not a minimum number of classes that a student needs to fail in order to attend summer school.

If I’m taking a junior to senior prom do they need to fill out a form to attend?

A. Yes.
