Hi, I was wondering who I should contact about the amount of Summer homework many children have? It seems if you are in HS and in accelerated or honors classes, you get punished over the summer. The amount of time spent – daily – on homework is unacceptable (Math, English and Social Studies). My child is also taking a voluntary health class this summer and has that work as well. That should be more than enough! Thank you.

The school website says 804 students would be graduating this year making it the largest class in Shen history. At the graduation it was stated that 783 students would be graduating, this is also the number in the newspapers. How many students of the class of 2018 actually graduated.
A. We apologize for the mistake. The actual size of the graduating class was 771, making it the third largest graduating class behind 2015 and 2016 which were tied at 779.

If you fail your final exam but don’t overall fail the class do you have to go to summer school
A. If you have passed the class you do not need to go to summer school. However, you would need to retake the final if it is a Regents Exam needed for graduation. Summer review classes are available for students prior to August Regents Exams.
