Mr. Symond’s classes observed Mr. Verhagen’s construction classes and got to tour the new home the class is building. From here, Mr. Symond’s class will be constructing a scale model house just like the one at the High School. The students are having a blast!

Mrs. Trotta’s first graders have been learning about Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month in music class. We learned that Hispanic Heritage month is a time dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments and traditions of those from a Spanish speaking culture. To celebrate the musical traditions of Hispanic cultures, Mrs. Trotta’s class learned and performed a traditional Mexican folk dance to the song “La Raspa.”

53 Okte students tracked their reading in summer 2024 and read over 1000 minutes. These students were recognized at a school-wide assembly.
